The protagonist is a graphic designer in a small advertising agency, living a hard and boring working life, but suddenly one weekend, the unknown light waves from the universe, attacked the world, the population of only a million or so, just as the survivors enjoy the free everything, people soon found that many people did not die, but mutated into horrible monsters, escaping, surviving, fighting, evolving. As the protagonist and the surviving human beings fight for survival against the monsters on Earth, the origin of everything slowly unravels and more powerful enemies appear.
